Profile

Strategy shaped by experience.

My work has spanned building a services business, managing people, and aligning marketing with business priorities. It has involved both leading direct reports and bringing colleagues across functions together around shared goals.

I work with business leaders and functional experts to understand the challenge, make clear choices, and give people direction they can act on. That approach has developed through creating services, bringing them to market, and building the team and collaboration needed to deliver them.

Experience in practice.

Building Ricoh Color Services

In 2013, I built Ricoh Color Services around a simple promise: “Make it easy to get the color you want.” These services address the full workflow, from design through production and quality control, across devices from any manufacturer. I wrote the business plan, created the initial services, and helped sell and deliver them.

As demand increased, I built and managed a team of six Color Consultants who reported directly to me. I also led another ten colleagues across functions. Together, we grew the program into a seven-figure business, with the consultants eventually taking over implementations and sales support.

Product management and marketing became central to my role. Working within Ricoh's Services Division, I led that work across functions to develop the offering and bring it to customers.

Aligning marketing around the business

As Sr. Director, Portfolio Marketing Business Partner, I work with the leaders of Ricoh Graphic Communications (RGC), Ricoh’s Production Printing business unit, and Ricoh North America Marketing. Together, we identify the highest business priorities and develop connected strategies to support them.

A central part of my work is making choices clear: how the priorities fit together, what shared teams can realistically support, and where different functions can strengthen one another’s contributions.

I lead that work across marketing, sales, business unit leadership, finance, and sales operations so people understand how their expertise contributes to the business objectives.

Building the AI Think Tank

I founded the AI Think Tank to connect colleagues experimenting separately with generative AI and make it easier to understand through peer learning. The community grew from about 20 people to 800, with 100–140 attending monthly sessions across functions and levels of seniority. Alongside my formal role, I run the community without direct reports: recruiting and coaching presenters, presenting myself, and facilitating the sessions. Ricoh recognized this work with the Ricoh Way Values Award for advancing AI adoption and bringing innovation to the field.

Leading across functions.

For nearly 15 years, I have matrix-managed dozens of people across functions with different responsibilities and priorities, including people who do not report to me. I help people understand the shared business outcome, shape contributions around their expertise, and work through competing priorities with their managers.

My current work also includes collaboration across functions and cultures with colleagues in Asia Pacific, Europe, Canada, and Latin America.
